Attached are some pics of Mike. He went to FOB Marez, Mosul in June. They saw plenty of action. He says that every time they leave the gate in daylight they take and return fire.
He manned the Cougar’s fifty cal a lot- best moving target shooter
in his unit. I’ve attached the first newsletter from them when they
first go to Marez. Take a look at the pics and how well Mike somehow
learned perfect rifle stance.
The other pics attached are more
recent. Two teams from the Unit were gathered to watch two tons of
munitions/ordnance that they collected being “rendered safe”. That is
they moved them to a bunker near the base and blasted it. Look at the
shit eating grin on the guy furthest right: they love to blow things
up. Guess which guy just had a baby boy two months before he deployed.
The other is Mike in front of the mound of debris created by the blast.
He
should be traveling back to his base on Oahu in a week or so, and we
are planning to have him home for the holidays. Will keep in touch.
