I love air guns!

Good point!

I love air guns! They are quiet and cheap (rifles start at less than 100 bucks and ammo costs 5 bucks for 500 rounds. I shoot in my basement fairly regularly. The same shooting principles apply so you can keep your skills somewhat intact without going to the range.

...it was a priceless class.

Today, I completed my first "round" of NRA classes. Lateif Dickerson was very helpful in the basic pistol class. I really needed the information he had to offer. He is so knowledgeable, yet very willing to patiently teach the basics. The only thing is that I regret I hadn't read up a bit more and done some more research before I got to the session. I think it would have been helpful for me, who didn't know the jargon/lingo that goes with the pistols to be able to keep up a little more intelligently. Nevertheless, it was a priceless class.

I took the Basic Pistol Course and attended several shooting sessions at the New Jersey Firearms Academy, and I was very impressed by the professionalism and seriousness of instructor Chief Lateif Dickerson about his training.



I had no basic knowledge of firearms prior to attending the NJFA, but after taking the course, I have learned fundamentals of firearms safety and proper shooting. I strongly recommend NJFA to anyone who seeks proper firearms training. Whether you're in law enforcement or a civilian the NJFA will give you the knowledge and skills that may save your life one day.

Top notch instructor !!

Top notch instructor !!Extremely knowledgeable, with loads of real-world experience. Pistol Level I is an excellent beginners course which covers all the basics in a non-threatening environment:-- Introduction to the different types of hand guns, calibers, and cartridges-- Review of gun terminology-- Thorough discussion and demonstration on how to handle guns safely-- Many other topics too numerous to list Once the class was immersed in the basics, it was time to hit the range and practice our newly found skills.This was the highlight of the day !! Each student was taught proper firing technique (stance, grip, aim, etc.) and spent several hours firing a variety of hand guns.By the end of the day, everyone had fired almost every type of hand gun there is.The class was both fun and informative, and had lots of personal attention and hands-on training.
